Powered Rack

The PW Rack mount has been designed to host, power and connect via RS485 any expansion module manufactured by ANT Group. To fit inside, to be powered and connected to the 485 bus, and to spare space, the expansion modules must be inserted and positioned in the dedicated Eurocard slots. Modules are hot pluggable and unpluggable for the easiest installation and maintenance,. The rack has 2 x 9 pin RS 485 BUS connectors on the back plane, to daisy chain additional expansion racks or other bus controlled equipment.
The Basic Rack is 1 unit high and has its own main power supply, to power up to 3 modules and eventually a companion Basic Rack mount. In addition, the PW rack can mount a backup battery powered by the main power supply. To protect the backup battery, an automatic switch-off will disconnect the battery when the battery voltage comes below 10,7V.

• Back-up power: 12V Gel or Lead Acid 4 to 40A/H Battery
• Maximum current supplied: 2,5A

The unit can be connected in daisy-chained.
