Compact FM signal probe (BiRDS) with RF level, audio and RDS monitoring, and SNMP alarm reporting.
Field of application
BiRDS is our new probe suitable for reliable monitoring of FM signals. Compact and versatile, it provides accurate measurement of RF level, audio levels and RDS decoding. Audio level monitoring makes the BiRDS probe suitable for use as a silence probe, and RDS parameter monitoring makes it easy to verify that the program on air is correct.
It supports the SNMP protocol and can be configured to send alarm traps if one or more readings are outside the desired range. All parameters and options can be set via web browser. The PoE function makes the probe very quick and easy to install.
Inputs
BNC connector, 50 Ω female. Frequency range 76.0-108.0 MHz with 50 or 100 kHz selectable tuning step. Input level range -30/+20 dBm (standard version) or -75/-10 dBm (HS version), with internal attenuator 0-30 dB in 1 dB steps.
Interfaces
Ethernet RJ45, 100 Mbit/s, PoE class 0. Protocols: SNMP, HTTP, Modbus, RTU/Modbus via RS485. Recessed tact reset switch, 3.5mm headphone audio jack output, open drain alarm output (max 24V/100mA), and 0-5Vdc analog output (alternative to RS485).
