Solar Cube
Solar-powered datalogger and telemetry device for continuous environmental monitoring in remote locations.
Field of application
Cube300-s is a battery-operated datalogger and telemetry device, specifically designed for monitoring environmental parameters such as water and air quality, water levels and flow, groundwater monitoring and many others.
Cube300-s (with integrated solar panel and rechargeable batteries) runs on solar power even in countries with limited sunny or cloudy weather. It offers the ability to perform all key tasks at every measurement station, from data collection and storage to data and alarm transmission. In its standard configuration it has an IP65 housing.
Data collection and transmission
Cube300-s collects measurements from external sensors and stores them in non-volatile memory: this data can subsequently be sent via FTP or email to the required destination. Units remain in sleep mode most of the time and the internal real-time clock wakes them up, according to setup parameters, for sensor readings or data transmission.
Sensor interfaces
Cube300-s has several interfaces for connecting external sensors (RS485, RS232, SDI-12, 0-10V analog input, 4-20mA analog input, digital input), all available simultaneously. Two internal sensors are built into the unit: an atmospheric pressure sensor (for automatic compensation together with non-vented level sensors) and a thermometer for ambient temperature.
Power supply
Cube300-s allows the use of different power sources: 12Vdc external power (15Vdc max) or external solar panel with external battery (15Vdc max), which can also be used simultaneously with the internal battery.
